2nd wife of Charles Alexander, married the widower of her sister Ida Calhoun.

The following is quoted from The Children of Pride page 1483:
"Rosa Calhoun (1848-1912), daughter of Edward Calhoun and Frances Middleton, was born in Abbeville, South Carolina, on February 10th, 1848. Her elder sister, Ida Calhoun (1841-1867), married Charles Atwood Alexander (1838-1907), of Liberty County, Georgia, on April 8th, 1862; she died of puerperal fever on December 22nd, 1867, and was buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Savannah. She left a daughter, Harriet Virginia Alexander (1866-1882), and an infant who did not survive. Thirteen years later, on November 4th, 1880, Rosa Calhoun married her sister's widower, then living in Washington, Wilkes County; there were two daughters: Ida Calhoun Alexander and Carlotta Rosa Alexander. Rosa (Calhoun) Alexander died in Washington, Wilkes County, on February 23rd, 1912, and was buried in the Alexander family cemetery beside her husband, who had died on January 30th, 1907."
