This Isaac was well traveled,
He is listed as having married Elizabeth Cheek in North Carolina before 1755. By her he had at least one son Samuel born in 1755. Isaac first appears in South Carolina Records on Feb 7, 1755, when he got a plat for 500 Acres on Reedy Creek. Ref: Series: S213184, Vol. 0006, Page: 00074, Item: 03.

In The State Records of North Carolina, Vol. 22, pages 396-398, he appears on "A list of the men that formally were in Captain Adam Alexander's Company". Isaac Ross, Ensign. his father Isaac Ross, Sr. is listed near the end of the list also. Dated: February 24th, 1756. I give to Jane Ross, a negro wrench called Nanny. 3. I give to Isaac Ross, a negro boy called Owen. 4. Finally in an effort to clear up the very old information contained at the D.A.R. He is shown as the father of his half brother Isaac. But with correct service as found in the Records of the S.C. Audited Accounts. #1: NSDAR 26413, Mrs. Rhoda Anatole Wade Buckley for Supplemental Isaac Ross (1712-1804) CORRECTED (1732-1804) although an old man served in the company of his son. CORRECTED Although an old man of 47 he served in the company of his half brother of the same name. #2: NSDAR 116202, Mrs. Jennie A. Wade Killingsworth for supplemental Isaac Ross (1720-1804) served as a private in his son's company. CORRECTED Isaac Ross (1732-a3/12/1775) served as a private in his half brother's company.
