David William Phillips, aged 65, of 1005 Fruit Avenue, Farrell, died at 4 a.m. today at his home after a long illness.
He was born in Wales, a son of George and Elizabeth Evans Phillips, and had lived in Farrell for 18 months, going there from Sharon. He was a retired Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation worker.
He leaves his wife, Sarah Loosemore Phillips; two daughters, Mrs. Samuel McQuiston of Whiting, Ind., and Ruth, at home; two sons, George at home and Thomas of Farrell; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Starbuckle of Aliquippa and Mrs. William James of Gary, Ind.; four brothers, Charles of Farrell, John and Harry of Gary and Sidney of Alquippa.
He is at the Tennant funeral home.
