Adolph Krug, Otter Lake Resort Owner, Dies at Rhinelander
Adolph Krug, 79, Eagle River, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital, Rhinelander, after an illness of two months.
A resident of Eagle River for 14 years, Krug operated a small resort on Otter Lake. Prior to moving north he worked as a farmer and carpenter when he resided at Plano and Aurora, Ill. He was a native of Plymouth, Wis., where he was born May 1, 1881.
He is survived by his wife, Emma; a daughter, Mrs. Oliver Johnston, Aurora; two brothers, George and Charles, of Milwaukee, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Lauritzen, Albert Lea, Minn. and Mrs. Mary Manthey, Duluth, Minn. two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Gaffney Funeral Home, with the Rev. Len Johnson officiating. Burial was in Eagle River Cemetery.
