"Boyce Lynn Baker, 68, passed away May 26, 2020 at his home in Galt of natural causes. He was born Oct. 29, 1951 in San Mateo and lived in Concord and Susanville from 1951 to 1956. He has lived in Galt since 1956.

Boyce operated a mobile horse tack business and Lonestar Pad Company. He also built trailers for Cozad Trailers and was a truck driver for 30 years. Boyce was a bareback bronco rider and a roper. He enjoyed hunting fishing and guitar playing. He hosted the annual Ranch Dove Hunt and was the founder of the annual Silver Bullet Stockdog Trials of 35 years.

Survivors are his wife Sherry Baker of Galt, sister Stacey Captein, brother David Swatzenbarger, daughter Jessica (Carl) Adams, son Ty Baker and grandchild Sienna Adams.

A graveside service will be held at Glenview Cemetery in Clements on Wednesday, June 3 at 11 a.m. Please observe COVID-19 standards. Ben Salas Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements."
