VETERAN OF HUTTON, TOWNSHIP IS DEAD Charleston, Ill., Oct 5. William Bell, a veteran of the civil war, and one of the pioneer residents ot Coles county, died at 5 o'clock on Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mr. Elmer Abernathy, in Hutton township, south of this city. Mr. Bell had been in poor health for some time and his death was not entirely unexpected.

The deceased, who at the time of his demise was about 76 year old had lived in Hutton township almost his entire life. At the breaking out of the Civil War he enlisted in company K of the 123d regiment, serving his country with an excellent record.
