Charles H. Ettelbrick, 64, of 1920 S. State St. died at 5:40 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital North.
A life-time resident of Springfield, Mr. Ettelbrick was the son of Henry and Mary Scherf Ettelbrick.
He married Catherine Burns in 1945.
Mr. Ettelbrick was a graduate of the Cathedral Boys High School in 1937 and the University of Illinois in 1941.
An account for many years, Mr. Ettelbrick was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Holy Name Society and K. of C. Council 364.
He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine; one son, Stephen, of Springfield; one grandchild; two sisters, Sister M. Theresa, OSF, of Mokena; and Miss Rosemary Ettelbrick, of Norcross, Ga.; and several cousins.
Services were at the Blessed Sacrament Church.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
