Briggs (born November 10, 1822) daughter of John and Mary (Boles)Briggs of natives of Morgan Co. Ohio. Moved to Harrison County, Missouri in 1860. Eleven children born to this union. John O.,Mary J., Sarah, Thomas, James O., Adnah H., Catherine, Perry J., Frank, Ezra H., Jennie. Elected to the office of Harrison County, Missouri judge in fall of 1865. Brothers and sisters Russel E.died in 1856 in Illinois. and one sister who married Richard Smith and died in McLean County, Illinois in 1844. He is the eldest of three children born to James and Catherine (Eveland)Frisby natives of Pennsylvania who moved to Morgan County, Ohio in their youth. James Frisby died April 24, 1857 in McLean County, Illinois aged 75. Catherine Eveland Frisby came to Harrison County, Missouri where she died February 20, 1871 aged 80 years.
