She was the fifth child of Naomi and Henry Sager's seven children.In her lifetime, she lost both her parents on the trail, two brothers and a sister, as well as her adopted parents Dr. Marcus Whitman and his wife Narcissa, at the Whitman Massacre. After losing her first husband(Her 1st husband was Lewis M. Hazlitt, married 5 Jun 1855 in Washington county Oregon )her house burned to the ground with all of her possesions in it, and she got struck with arthritis, but managed to get over it.
She was, however, involved in the memorial and reburial of the Whitmans, her brothers, and others. She helped honor the victims with her two other surviving siblings

Her first husband was a Mr. Hazlett, her second Mr. Fultz and her third a Mr. Delaney.
