William David Alire, age 57, passed away July 20, 2007 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on October 11, 1949 to William George Alire and Marina Romero Alire.
William is preceded in death by his mother, father, three sisters: Cora A. Alire, Claria Consuelo Alire and Adelia Lillian Alire, one brother Leroy William Alire; and two grandbabies, Juleanna Kirk and Alaura Danna Day.
William was married twice having three children from his first marriage, none of which stayed close to him... Rachel, Danny and Tara. His second wife Charlotte Reeves Alire, even though no children were born to William and Charlotte together, William acted as father and friend to Charlotte's three children. He was known to them simply as Papa, and he loved them all just as he was their father. The children are, Catherine Marie Day, JoAnn LaVern Crabtree, and Douglas Glenn Jacobsen. William's grandchildren are Jessie, Payton and Autumn. He would also claim Makayla, Lyric, AJ, Katie, and Andrew as his own. Other survivors to be mentioned are Ron and Carol Garlitz, two great family members who loved him dearly, and their four children, Christopher, Jenny, Lisa and Jeremy. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, but most of all, a wonderful man that we all will miss dearly. We love you Papa! We will see you again...Rest in Peace.
