NURSE CORPS∼Navy Nurse, commissioned 30 April 1954. Served 24 years in the Navy. Among her duty stations were Korea and Vietnam (USS Sanctuary, during the Vietnam War) and Naval Medical Center San Diego, referred to as Balboa Hospital. Commander Maznio left the largest bequest in the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society's history as she felt the Navy was her family.
She had one known sister, Sophia, who also served as a Navy nurse.
