Paul Revere Pennington was born at the old Frontier Nursing Service Hospital, known as the “Hyden Hospital” in Hyden, Leslie County, Kentucky on August 5, 1955 and was the son of Earl Pennington and Ruth Marie Ballew-Pennington. Paul grew up on Coon Creek near Cinda in Leslie County, Kentucky. While serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. he met Charlene Marie McDonald and they were married February 14, 1975 in Thurmont, a small town in Frederick County, Maryland. Paul and Charlene had one son, Paul Ashford Pennington.
