George E. Malin, 45, of 401 N. Main died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born May 20, 1955, in Peoria to Georgie E. and Naomi Wirey Malin, he married Joyce Hinthorn on June 10, 1988, in Hanna City. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Glasford; one daughter, Michelle (and James) Clark of Glasford; two sons, Christopher and Michael, both of Peoria; one brother, James (and Cindy) of Glasford; and one sister, Nancy (and Melvin) Baker of Emden.

He was preceded in death by his father on Jan. 18, 1980, and an infant brother.

An employee of Bemis Co. for 27 years, he last worked as a machinist on Nov. 27.

He was a member of the Bemis 20 Year Club and the National Rifle Association.

Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery in rural Smithville.
