Musician and singer. The son of an ordained Baptist minister, he was the youngest of five children, of whom Nat King Cole was the most famous. He began playing piano and singing in Chicago nightclubs and moved to New York in 1951 to study at Juillard School. He received a master's degree in 1956 from New England Conservatory of Music. He developed a fan base internationally with songs such as "Waiter, Ask the Man to Play the Blues" and "One More Love Song". His wife, Margaret Jones Cole, died in 2015. He is survived by two children, Lionel Cole of Sydney and Crystal Cole of Atlanta.
