Sue Ellen Adams (a.k.a. “Hey”) passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 surrounded by family. She was born on September 23, 1946 to John Ogle and Sue Pierce in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Hey was a very caring woman who loved and protected her family more than anything. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her whole life. When she was younger, Hey enjoyed sports, going fishing, playing softball, and going out dancing. Hey enjoyed shopping and gaming, she was known to sit at the machines for hours on end. She loved watching old TV shows, especially the Andy Griffith show and Perry Mason. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is preceded by her parents, John & Sue Ogle; her sister Carolyn Swonke and great grandson Steven Adams.

Hey is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Adams; sons, Jimmy Honeycutt and David Honeycutt; daughters, Alicia Fort, Tonja Aramburo and Gwendolyn Purifoy; grandchildren, Anayha, Jacob, Travis, Eric, Jonathan, Amber, Jennifer, Jessie, Dannie, Tyler, Brandon and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Shaun, Emma, Asher, Jade and Jaden. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation for Sue Adams (“Hey”) will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A service to immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sterling-White Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home located at 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas 77562.
