Samuel J. Crawford, 66, Ex-Susquehanna Railroad Conductor
Paterson - Samuel J. Crawford, 66, a retired Susquehanna Railroad conductor, of 928 Madison Avenue, died yesterday after an illness of 18 months. His wife, Mrs. Mae A. Crawford, predeceased him. Mr. Crawford, who retired last April, had been with the railroad 38 years. He had formerly resided in East Patterson and moved to this city four months ago. Mr. Crawford was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the East Patterson Post of VFW and St. Leo's R.C. Church, East Paterson, and the Holy Name Society of the church. He was also a member of the Railroad Brotherhood. Surviving Mr. Crawford are a sister, Mrs. Anita Boyan, of Paterson, and two brothers, Warren of Patterson, and Dr. Harry J.
