Booneville, KY- Eileene G. Powell, age 82, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Center, located in Hazard, KY.

Eileene was born December 10, 1937 in St. Helens, KY, a daughter to the late Clifford and Eva (Moore) Stamper. She was the activities aide at the Owsley Co. Health Care Center for many years. She was also a member of the Eastside Church of Christ, a member of the Library Club, and sang with the Valentine Sweet Hearts each year.

She is survived by 2 sons; Phillip Powell of Kite, KY, and James Edward Powell of Jackson, KY, 1 daughter; Vera Gale Fields of Hazard, KY, 1 sister; Phyllis Jane Stamper of Lexington, KY, 5 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members, and friends.

Along with her parents; Clifford and Eva Stamper, she was preceded in death by her loving husband; James Powell, 1 daughter; Victoria Becknell, and 1 brother; J.C. Stamper.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Tabata officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Moore Cemetery located in Beattyville, KY
