He was born to Sandy Louise Kennedy and Terry Leon Hughes in Loveland, Colorado. He worked at Taco Bell in Bentonville as General Staff, for about four months.
T.J. was set to graduate Bentonville High School this year. He was active with the Tiger Band, during his sophomore year he played the trumpet, and for his junior and senior year he was a tuba player. During his spare time he enjoyed computer and Internet games. His favorites were Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft.
T.J. is survived by: his father, Terry Hughes and his wife Martha, of the home; his mother, Sandy Stertz and her husband Michael, of Chouteau, Oklahoma; two brothers, J.R. Bond and Jason Bond, both of Chouteau, Oklahoma; one sister, Amanda Davis, of Bentonville, Arkansas; his maternal grandparents, Marv and Linda Kennedy, of Chouteau, Oklahoma; Patty Stertz, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Thomas Stertz, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his paternal grandparents, Leon Sparks of Annapolis, Maryland, and Marie Blankenship and her husband Tommie, of Gravette, Arkansas; Peytina Freer, of Tuckerman, Arkansas; four aunts, Arnissa Hughes, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Jennifer Kennedy, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Katherine Stertz and Jaclyn Stertz, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; and two uncles, Chris Kennedy, of Greely, Colorado; Tim Kennedy, of Chouteau, Oklahoma.
