LOIS A. DOROTHY-81 of Fort Dodge, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 2nd at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jim Meadows, Pastor of First Congregational United Church of Christ officiating . Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Mondy at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Surviving is her son Alan and his special friend Linda Erickson of Fort Dodge; 2 grandchildren, Tom Dorothy of Rochester, NY and Laura Campbell of Fort Dodge; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Stewart of Fort Dodge, Ernest Stewart of Callender; sisters, Dorothy Babain of Athens, TN, Elsie Swanson of Callender, Cristelle Essig of Fort Dodge, Marlene Garman of Swisher, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Edith (Blake) Stewart; her husband Cecil in 2004; brothers, Earl and Siebert; sisters, Gladys Stewart and Fern Whannell. Lois Arlene Stewart was born July 15, 1924 near Callender. She attended Callender Schools and graduated from Callender High School. On November 16, 1947 she was united in marriage to Cecil Dorothy at Epworth United Methodist Church and they established their home in Fort Dodge. Besides being a Proud Homemaker, Lois was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Fort Dodge for a number of years. In their later years Lois and Cecil enjoyed attending and participating in various Flea Markets in the surrounding areas.
