     Joseph P. Kobel, of 30 Osborne, Rockville Centre, died suddenly on Nov. 24, at the age of sixty-four. He had long been an active member of the HolyNname and St. Vincent de Paul societies. The funeral took place of the Nov. 27, from St. Agnes' Church. Father Jerome Kobel, O.F.M.Cap., a son of the deceased, said the Requiem Mass. He was assisted by Fathers Apollinaris Baumgartner, O.F.M.Cap, and Thomas Sheeran as deacon and sub-deacon, respectively. The following clergy attended the obsequies: Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter Quesaly, V.F.; Fathers Eugene Erny, Francis Williams, William O'Keefe; the Capuchins; Venantius Buessing, Marcellus Manzo, Allan O'Brien, Edward McBride, Albert McParland, Aloysius Dayton, Simon Hesse, Ignatiius McCormick, Columban Butler.
     The deceased is survived by his wife Catherine, his daughters Bertha and Lorette (Mrs. George Sessa), and Fr. Jerome, O.P.M.Cap.
