Mrs. Rebecca A. Brown
Rebecca Alexander was born in Stark County, Ohio June 17, 1825. With her parents, she moved to this county in 1839, was married to Samuel Brown Nov. 7, 1841. Their union was blessed with thirteen children nine of whom are now living
For 35 years she lived a true and devoted Christian, identified with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
On Wednesday morning, October 12, she passed away as one who, tired, lies down to rest. So died one of Wayne county's oldest, most respected, and dearly beloved mothers.
No lengthy obituary is needed in praise of her. By her daily acts she leaves imprinted on the hearts of family, kindred and friends the only lasting and worthy eulogy: A life of duty nobly done.
