Susan was the daughter of David Smith, 1822- , and Esther Ballou Smith, 1824-1893, both born in North Carolina. The mother of six children, she was married four times. As Mrs. Susie Turner, she applied for a marriage license with Howard J. Andrews on Dec. 21, 1907, at Jackson County, Missouri.

PHOTOGRAPH. The photograph with the single tall, grey monument at the center of a large open space depicts Row O / Lot 03 in Belton Cemetery. This is the burial lot in which the following are interred: Howard J Andrews; his wife Susan (Smith) Reddinger Turner Dyer Andrews; Susan's daughters Lenora Reddinger, Bertha Reddinger, and Ruth Turner; and Susan's second husband Delbert Turner. Delbert and Ruth Turner are the only inscriptions on the monument.
