BELLEVUE, Iowa -- Orra Mae Oberfoell, 85, of Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue, formerly of 2075 Carter Road, Dubuque, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at the care center.

Services were held Sept. 1 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, with Pastor Tony Harvey officiating. Burial was in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Visitation was held Sept. 1 at the funeral home.

She was born on Sept. 15, 1921, in Epworth, daughter of George and Mertie (Fentiman) Bradley. She married Sylvester J. Oberfoell on April 26, 1952; he preceded her in death on June 3, 2003.

Mrs. Oberfoell formerly worked for Sorbors. She also did volunteer work for The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah (Mark) Woodman, of Bellevue; a son, Gary (Dona) Oberfoell, of Dubuque; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Georgia Bandy.
