Vicki is my niece. Her Mother is my oldest sister. Vicki Ann DeLaPaz was born to Donna and Ruben DeLaPaz. Vicki was in the Gifted and talented program from the third grade thru the twelfth grade. She was a Strutter at Hanna High School and graduated with honors,including a scholarship for UTB. Vicki attended the University of Texas at Brownsville for two years and then transferred the the University of Houston. She was in her fourth year of college and was working towards a degree in physical therapy. Vicki spent her summer in Brownsville doing volunteer work for the PT Program.
Vicki was a vibrant, beautiful young lady, who possessed an abundance of joy and laughter.Her enthusiiasm and love of life was infectious, spreading happiness and newly found determination to those she touched. Our eyes fill with tears at her loss, but a smile comes to our faces as we remember Vicki, as she was, so alive with love for all.
