Jardis Cleo “JC” Bridges was born July 15, 1933 in Peason Ridge, LA to Andrew Lee Bridges, Sr. and Ethel (Cook) Bridges and entered into rest on July 3, 2020 in Shreveport, LA. Funeral services for him will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Brother Ron Sandifer and Brother Lee Dickson officiating; interment will be at Florien Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Bridges will be also be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from noon until service time at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Many Chapel.

JC was a member of the United States Air Force where he bravely and proudly served in the Korean War. He was also a member and deacon of Aimwell Baptist Church of Zwolle, LA. He was also a Gideon member. In his past time, he loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Lee Bridges, Sr.; his brother, Benny Bridges; his brother-in-law, AJ Spears; and sister-in-law, Connie Bridges . Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 67 years, Betty J. Bridges of Zwolle, LA; his son, Wayne Bridges & wife, Stacy of Choudrant, LA, his son, Gary Bridges & wife, Christy of Zwolle, LA; his daughter, Judy Brossette & husband, Tim of Sulphur, LA; his sister, Miami Spears of Shreveport, LA; his brother, Andrew Bridges of Stonewall, LA; his sister-in-law, Gwen Bridges of Lake Charles, LA. In addition, he leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Gary Paul Bridges, Ryan Brossette, Jeremy Brossette, Jerad Bridges, Winston Hodge, and Jason Saucier. His honorary pallbearers will be Dennis McGaha, and Johnny McCall.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Mr. Bridges’ name to the Gideons to purchase bibles.
