The Henry family sorrowfully announces the passing of Betty Lou Sabo Henry of Deer Park and Granite Shoals Texas who died on June 3, 2014 @ 2:00am at the age of 84. Betty passed at her lake house in Granite Shoals Texas with two of her boys and a daughter-in-law by her side due to complications from her second stroke. She is survived by her four loving sons: Charlie, Jack, Billy and Mark, her grandchildren: Brian, Matt, Sarah and Gus and her brothers Mike and Jimmy as well as her sister Mary. Betty Henry was born January 18, 1930 in Canton Ohio. She graduated from Pasadena ISD in 1949. Her husband Bill, who predeceased her by seven weeks, claimed he only saw stars twice in his life…the first time he kissed Betty and when he was hit in the head by a line drive. With just a high school diploma, she educated herself in first aid, the culinary arts and other areas of interest to assist her in caring for her large family. Betty cooked great meals for her brood everyday of her life until her first stroke. Betty loved the Lord and rarely failed to attend Church or Sunday School. Betty was loved by many and will be missed by all. There will be a private family viewing on Friday June 6, 2014 from 4pm to 5pm followed by a public viewing from 5pm to 8pm. The funeral will be held Saturday June 7, 2014 at Pasadena Funeral Home 2203 Pasadena Blvd. Pasadena Texas at 10am followed by graveside services and interment at South Park Cemetery 1310 North Main St. Pearland Texas where Betty will be laid to rest with her husband.
