KOONTZ LAKE - Mary Jane Thompson, 65, of Millers Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly, of. Koontz Lake, died at 3:17 p.m. Monday in the nursing home after an illness. There will be no services or visitation. The body was donated to the University of Michigan for ALS research. Arrangements were with Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Mrs. Thompson was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Michigan City. She had lived in the Koontz Lake area most of her life. On Nov. 24, 1972, in Plymouth, she married John B. Thompson. He survives with a daughter and 2 sons; 10 grandchildren; four sisters, Georgia Huff of Arkansas, Audrey Reed and Nellie Martin, both of Walkerton, and Betty Miller of Michigan; and three brothers, John Finley of Auburn, Ind., William Finley of South Bend and Ben Finley of Walkerton. She was a member of Koontz Lake Missionary Church.
