Of Festus, Missouri passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at his home. He was born September 21, 1938 in Danville, Arkansas, the son of the late Thelma (nee Gilkey) and William Coffer.
He is survived by his wife Alberta (nee Allmon) Coffer; daughters Abbey (Daniel) Muhleback of Belton, Missouri, Janet Lay of Granite City, Illinois, Laura Harris of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and Donna (John) Schneider of Florida; sons William Ray (Pam) Coffer, Jr. of Festus, Steve (the late Ann) Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Michael Coffer of Festus, and Randy Allmon of Salem, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson Jerry Wayne Lay; and a great-grandson Leo Johns.
He was a retired security guard for Pinkerton and Sunlight Candy Factory in St. Louis, Missouri; and he was a member of the Missouri National Guard.
