Obituary: EAGLE CENTER - Carolyn Marie Schaefer, 55, of Waterloo, formerly of Eagle Center, died Sunday, Feb 18 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 5, 1945 in Waterloo, daughter of Willmer "Bill" and Rose Mary Klein Schaefer.
Survived by: her mother of Eagle Center; five brothers, Kenneth Schaefer of Rice Lake, Wis., Richard, Timothy and Leo Schaefer all of Waterloo, and Christopher Schaefer of Bellevue, Neb.; and five sisters, Miriam Eick of Dyersville, Mary Francis of Decatur, Ill., Sr. Jeannette Schaefer OSF of Bolingbrook, Ill., Elaine Siebel of Eagle Center and Coleen Hughes of Dubuque.
Preceded in death by: her father; and a brother, Raymond Schaefer.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursady at St. Mary's of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Eagle Center, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, where there will be a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursady at the church.
