Survivors include his wife, Maxine; three sons, Merle of Toledo, Iowa, Raymond of Marshalltown, and Jerry of rural Toledo; two daughters, Eunice Menary of Williamsburg and Janice Aperans of Wateroo; a brother, Leonard Abbe of Toledo; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Abbe was a retired farmer.
