Our loving husband, "dad", grandfather, Albert Aaron Thorsted, 96, short of his 97th birthday, passed away quietly on Tuesday, July 27, 2005 at his home in Honeyville. He was born on December 1, 1908 in Ogden, Utah, a son of James Christian and Annie Mary Wilson Thorsted. He was reared and educated in Ogden, Utah. Albert married Winnie Jeppsen on April 16, 1936 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 18, 1939. He was a member of the LDS Church where he served a stake mission, and served in the Ogden LDS Temple for 11 years with his wife, Winnie. Albert worked for Anderson Ford in Brigham City as a mechanic. He later worked and retired from the Box Elder School District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, he was proud of his garden and he loved to serve his neighbors. Surviving is his wife, Winnie of Honeyville, 11 children, David (Linda) of Howell; Janice Hales of Brigham City; Lloyd (Karen) of Honeyville; Jay (Sarah) of Salt Lake City; Irene (Stanley) Weeks of Pleasant View; Elaine (Abran) Garcia of Honeyville; Wayne (Annette) of Berphoud, Colorado; Kenneth of Portgage; Jeannine (Scott) Hale, DeAnn (Dell) Lane both of Salt Lake City; Diane (Sam) Kunz of Gilbert, Arizona; 52 grandchildren , 62 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter- in-law, Jeanne Thorsted, one sister, Fay Wayment, six brothers, Earl, Allen, Glen, Jay, LeRoy and Grant Thorsted and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Honeyville Ward Chapel, 2620 West 6980 N. Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, UT and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Ogden City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to VistaCare Hospice, 1011 West 400 North, Ste. 130, Logan, Utah 84321
