Gen Guillermo Andrade died in Mexico City. He had been educated in France and Spain, but was recalled Mexico by the death of both his parents, who had left a large estate comprised of sugar plantations and refineries.

Death caused by bronchitis.

His son, Edward, requested of his step-mother that the body be embalmed and placed in a receiving vault, to be sent to San Francisco for burial next to Louisa.

He and his first wife, Louisa, had sixteen children. Those who survived him were:

Mrs. (Eloisa) Tate (or Tait) of San Francisco
Miss Mercedes, of Los Angeles, a deaf-mute
Mrs. Carmen ?Banuett of Mexico City, widow of attorney Sadoc Banuett [or Banuet] - also referred to as Carmen de Bancroft of Spain

He married his second wife, Miss (Guadalupe) Lupe Goelsich, age 23, on June 23, 1904, in San Diego. The photo is of Lupe. She married B. F. Blinn of Los Angeles.
