Charles S. Thomas died in the Indiana Hospital at 5:00 a.m. December 25, from a heart attack, which occurred about 24 hours earlier.
He was one of the most substantial farmers of Rayne Township, of which he was a native, a son of W.C. and Mary A. Thomas.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Shields Thomas, one daughter, Maude, a son, Lyon on the home farm, and a son, Weston of Buffalo N.Y. There are five grandchildren, four brothers and one sister also surviving; Harry W., Glen Campbell, Jesse E., Tanoma, William M. Marion Center, R.D., Ben W., Marion Center; and Mrs. Florence Burnheimer, Indiana.
