Jaap's 2 sisters Janny and Lien were the only ones from the Brilleslijper family who survived the war.
Jaap was a technical man. He was always busy designing and creating something like a radio or a dollhouse for his little nieces.
He was the one who created the hiding places in 't Hooge Nest, the house they stayed from 1942 till 1944.
You can read about this in Dutch: 't Hooge Nest door Roxane van Iperen OR in English The sisters of Auschwitz, translated by Joni Zwart.
