Ronald was born October 10, 1942 in rural Gilman, Iowa, the son of Leo and Eleanor (Reeves) Zhorne. He was in the Tama High School class of 1960.
Ronald was a kind-hearted man who loved to be around friends and family. He worked many years in various states as a cook and took an enormous amount of pride in his abilities. Ronald was a dog lover, loved classic cars, and was never shy to start a conversation with a stranger.
Preceding him in death were his parents Leo and Eleanor Zhorne; one brother, Richard “Dean” Zhorne.
Survivors include 2 nieces and a nephew, Jodi (Raymond) Thomas of Burlington, KS, Janee (Ron) Eisele of Grinnell, IA, and Ricky Dean (Brandi) Zhorne of Hartsville, TN.
