Frances L. Foster, 89, a resident of Irving since 1962, died Thursday, November 7, 2019 at a local hospital. Born June 18, 1930 in Wichita Falls, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Charles Habern and Era Brewer Habern. She was an executive secretary for General Telephone which later became Verizon. An active member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School, English as a Second Language, and was a member of the Senior Adult Group. She volunteered with Visiting Nurses Association Meals on Wheels program and was a member of the Irving Heritage Senior dance group , the Lively Steppers. In her early years, she had volunteered as a Candy Striper at Irving Community Hospital.

Preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Charles Habern and Dennis Massey she is survived by a son Bentley Foster and wife Iris of Irving; a daughter Renée Harrison; and sons Wayne Foster of North Richland Hills and Preston Foster and wife Dana of Irving; a brother Jimmy Habern and wife Sammie of Dallas; nine grandchildren, Erin Dirickson, Cory Foster, Emily Gordon, Stephanie Brown, Faith Foster, Fallon Foster, Olivia Foster, Stephanie Foster, and Sydney Foster; and fifteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. The memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2019 at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, 1714 North Story Road in Irving. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
