Harold Francis Littlefield Jr, 78, of Suffolk, VA, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on July 13, 2020. He was predeceased in death by his parents, William and Gertrude Zwicker, Harold F. Littlefield Sr., a WWII Purple Heart and Flying Cross recipient, who was killed in action during the Battle of Midway, and a granddaughter, Dallas Renee Newbill. Harold was born in Norfolk, VA in 1942, the oldest of two sons. He graduated from Frederick Military Academy and completed two years of college. He enjoyed a long career in the dairy industry, beginning at Pet Dairy, and ending with his retirement from Marva Maid as the Shipping and Receiving Manager. He loved spending time with his wife and family, especially seeing his many grandchildren who called him D-Dad. He was a beloved member of Grove Church in Portsmouth, VA, where he was always a welcoming spirit and developed many lasting friendships. He was always very active and enjoyed bowling, working in the yard, woodworking, and working on cars. When he wasn’t outside or at the bowling alley, you could usually find him watching Star Trek, Bob Ross, and anything on PBS. He was a pioneer in recycling before it was cool. While his passing will leave a hole in the hearts of his family, they know that they will see him again. Until that time, it brings his family great joy knowing that he is at peace with our Lord. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah; brother, Jack (Miranda) Zwicker; two sons, David W. (Kim) Littlefield, Carl F. (Audrey) Littlefield; three daughters, Heather D. (Joey) Gargaro, Lee (Steve Gilbert) Stephens, and Christina M. (Scott) Steger; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his two fur babies, Bruno and Zsa Zsa
