Silas L Blann and his sibling migrated from Jasper County, Georgia to Dallas County, Alabama in the late 1810's. Siblings that migrated with him were his two brothers Stephen A. Blann and Thomas Blann and one sister Tabitha Telitha Blann. They migrated with the William Henry "Harry" Averytt family. Both Silas Blann and Tabitha Blann had married into that family.
Silas Blann and Elizabeth Ann Averytt had 11 children that survived to adulthood. Some of his children migrated to western Mississippi and to Calhoun County, Arkansas.
