Joseph Philip Brandjes, Sr. 78, of Marietta, OH passed away peacefully on July 15, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 6, 1942 in Baltimore, MD to the late Martin Brandjes and Bonna Malone.

Joseph served in the United States Army. He worked for Sperry Univac and retired from Kardex. He was an active member of Relay for Life (Kardex), volunteered at Halloween at the Park, and was a member of Civitan and the American Legion Post 64. He was also an active member of Valley View Baptist Church in Reno.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judy Ann Liniger-Brandjes along with their children, Jodi Boyce (Barry), Joseph Philip Brandjes, Jr., J.W. Brandjes and Daughter Samantha Herron (Douglas); grandchildren, Brian Ebra, Krista D. Porterfield, Brody and Luke Brandjes and Joseph and David Herron. He is also survived by three brothers, Martin Brandjes (Dawn), Patrick Brandjes (Cindy), Carl Brandjes (Tammy) and two sisters, Helen Hunt (Jan) and Anna Goodpastor (Monty).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Charles Brandjes and a sister, Mary Shepard.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
