Our beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. Mary's of Michigan. Age 17 years. He was born September 17, 1989 to Larry and Grace "Gale" Johnson. Gerald was a member of the House of Prayer Apostolic Church, where he served on the Usher Board and was in the Choir. He knew Jesus and always liked to tell people about Jesus. Gerald enjoyed making people laugh with his funny jokes. His hobby's were talking on the phone, playing video games and spending time on the computer. He also loved to dress, and wouldn't go anywhere unless his hat, shoes and shirt matched.
Gerald leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Larry and Grace "Gale" Johnson; his sister whom he cherished very dearly, ShaKelia "Kee-Kee" Gordon, Saginaw, MI.;his grandmother, Betty Jackson, Saginaw, MI.; four aunts, Debra Gordon, Saginaw, MI., Ruby (Chester) Banner,Houston, TX., Vera (Urlis) Clark, Vacherie, LA., and Sandra Johnson, Tallulah, LA.; four great aunts, Wanda Stapleton and Mary Williams, both of Saginaw, MI., Mariam Estes, Lansing, MI. and Evelyn Peterson, Tallulah, LA.; two uncles, Elder Manuel (Mary) Trice and John (Lucille) Trice, both of Saginaw, MI.; three great uncles Jerry Jackson, Omaha, NE., Johnnie Jackson, and James Taylor, Jr., both of Saginaw, MI.; one close friend, Hosea Bady; also a host of cousins, including two special cousins, Dequavis and Gary Russell, both of Saginaw, MI.; and many friends. He was predeceased by, his great-grandmother, Ida Collier; great-grandfather, Walter Gordon, Sr.; one aunt, Neada Trice; great uncle, Walter Gordon, Jr.; two cousins, Olandis Gordon and Dedrick Jackson, both of Saginaw.
He was shot and killed.
