Virgina Wahl King - Long Branch, NJ
Mrs. Virginia G. King, 83, of South Plainfield, former resident of Westfield, died Thursday in the Hassard Memorial Hospital, Long Branch, after a brief illness.
Born in Berkeley Heights, Mrs. King had lived in Westfield most of her life, before moving to South Plainfield about 20 years ago. At the time she became ill, she had been visiting a daughter, Mrs. George Main of New Shrewsbury.
She was the widow of Jacob King, who died in 1933. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, South Plainfield.
Mrs. King leaves three sons, Kenneth Burdick of North Plainfield; Virgil Burdick and Charles Burdick, both of Branchpoint, N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Victor Spalluto, with whom she resided, and Mrs. Main; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Emily Rilling of North Plainfield.
The funeral was held Monday in Gray's. A Solemn Requiem Mass followed in Holy Trinity Church. Interment was in the family plot.
