Elsie Klitz passed away on March 24, 2016, at the age of 82 from complications of Dementia. She was born January 30, 1934 to Alex and Sophia (Gerszewski) Michalski, and was raised and educated in Minto, ND.

Elsie attended the University of North Dakota, and later graduated from Eastern Connecticut State College in Windham, CT with a teaching degree. She was a substitute teacher in the Windham School District. She was then employed by American Airlines for the next 16 years. Her five children were raised in Mansfield Center, CT, where she was active in the community. She also was a dedicated parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas church in Storrs, CT, serving as a member of the Grief Ministry, and a lecturer at Sunday Mass.

Elsie is survived by her five children: Lisa (Thomas), Dedham, MA, Jeffrey (Celeste), New York, NY, Randall (Muriel), New York, NY, Kevin (Jeanette), Valley Cottage, NY & Shawn (Colette), Philadelphia, PA; Grandchildren: Isabella, Sophia, Juliette, Matthew, Connor, Liam, & Aidan. Also surviving are one brother, Ken (Mary), sisters: Marlene Jorgenson, Vicki (Dean) Flanders, & Jackie Michalski. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jerry, and sisters Fran & Doris.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 2nd, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Minto, ND with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
