Lessie Ritter Maness, 80, of Bear Creek, died Monday, July 20, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral Services, 11 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Antioch Christian Church, Seagrove.

Officiating, Rev. Howard Moffitt.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Lessie was a native of Randolph County and a longtime resident of Bear Creek. She was employed as a textile designer at Bossong Hosiery for over 40 years until she had to retire to take care of her beloved husband, "C" who was struggling with ALS. Lessie was a faithful member of Antioch Christian Church. For over 40 years, each time the doors of the church were open, Lessie was in attendance. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed making Annie and Andy dolls as well as Cabbage Patch Dolls for her family and friends. Lessie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "C" Maness, her parents, Robert and Emma Needham Ritter, brother, James Ritter, and sister, Gladys Cockman.

Survivors: sisters, Hazel Reich, and husband, Joseph, of Ramseur, Vertle Ritter, of Ramseur, and twin sister, Tessie Garner, of Bennett, brother, Levis Ritter, and wife, Joanne, of Ramseur, sister-in-law, Lois Ritter, of Ramseur.
