Survivors include one son, Harvey and Ardys Duplechin of Church Point; three daughters, Donna and husband, Bert Boss of Lafayette, Tammy and husband, Mike Henry of Moss Bluff, Bonnie and husband, Darrel Boudreaux of Cankton; ten grandchildren, Alex and wife, Kasey Duplechin, Andrew Duplechin, and Andrea and husband, Cody Sonnier, Kim and husband, Bryan Thibodeaux, Pam and husband, Brent Thibodeaux, Julie and husband, Derrick Esta, Tyler Marks and Heidi Henry, Chelsea and Ashley Duplechin; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Betty spent countless hours helping people rather it was cooking for them or helping out with their personal needs. She spent many years as a volunteer at Acadia St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. She took her volunteer job as her daily job helping and spending time with the residents.
Ms. Duplechin was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Duplechin; one son, Danny Duplechin; one grandson, Eddie Boudreaux; her parents, Alexis and Elvina V. Bellard; one infant brother, Harry Bellard.
