Two Rivers - Evelyn D. Gagnon, age 93, resident of the Wisteria Haus, Two Rivers, died Monday evening, July 13, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.
Evelyn was born in Nebraska on April 15, 1927 to Alvin and Dorothy (Blum) Messman. She was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers. On August 3, 1946, she married Thomas J. Gagnon at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death January 16, 2001. Evelyn was a member of the Red Hat Society, Wisconsin Campers Assoc., and the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Ladies Aide Society. She enjoyed playing the organ, and also enjoyed painting.
Survivors include three daughters: Gail Koch of Pennsylvania, Andrea (Chris) Wagner of Manitowoc, and Pamela (Leon) Halverson of Georgia; seven grandchildren: Brian (Jean) Koch, Karl Koch (fiance, Becca), Jacqueline Hinke, Paige (Bryant) Cobarrubias, Beryl Wagner, Kristine Carrilo, Mark Halverson (fiance, Stephanie); along with eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Audrey Messman of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Dorothy Messman; her husband, Thomas; and one brother, Melvin Messman.
Private family services were held for Evelyn on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. William Kilps presided at the service, with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
