Kenosha - Richard A. Hagenow, age 79, of Kenosha, passed away early Saturday morning, July 18, 2020 at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prairie.
Richard was born on December 7, 1940 in Two Rivers, son of the late Ludwig L. and Dorothy L. (Deprey) Hagenow. He grew up at Fischerville and graduated with the class of 1959 from Mishicot High School. Richard enlisted in the United States Army in 1963 serving during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1969. He worked at Becker Meats, Two Rivers as a meat cutter for 17 years after which he moved to Pembine where he was a small business owner, operating Hagenow's Red Feather General Store. In his younger years, Richard enjoyed deer hunting, being outdoors and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Dennis Hagenow, Two Rivers, Wayne (Roxanne) Hagenow, Suamico, Lee (Jody) Hagenow, Manitowoc, Marlene Hagenow, Cedarburg, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ludwig & Dorothy Hagenow; two brothers: Gene Hagenow and infant brother, Bobby Hagenow; one sister-in-law: Judy Hagenow; and one nephew: Jeff Hagenow.
Cremation has taken place and burial of his cremated remains will be buried at Knollwood Memorial Gardens at a later date. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lakeshorefamilyfuneralhomes.com
