Betty Lou (Harman) Wiard, 79, Wellsville, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at the Olathe Medical Center, Olathe. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa.

She was born Oct. 11, 1927, at Kansas City, Kan., to Arthur W. and Ethel May (Tracy) Harman.

She grew up in Kansas City, Kan., and attended school at Wyandotte High School.

She enjoyed shopping with her daughters, writing poetry, traveling with her husband Albert and spending time with her family.

She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church for many years. She also was a member of the Dizzy Doers (EHU) and was a Sunny Side 4-H Leader.

She was a homemaker.

She married Albert F. Wiard Sept. 15, 1946, at Bonner Springs. They shared more than 60 years of marriage. He survives.

Survivors also include a son, Daniel A. Wiard, Wellsville; daughters, Linda Samsel, and her husband, Ron, Wellsville, Janet Sessions, and her husband, Lance, Wellsville, and Melanie Jaklevich, and her husband, Paul, Spring Hill; a sister, Eleanor Thomas, Kansas City, Kan.; an aunt, Marjorie Pace, Plant City, Fla.; grandchildren, Troy, Lisa, Erica, Erin, Amber, Drew, Greg, Sean and Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Gage, Tyler, Brianna, Sterling, Holly, Emma, Danielle, Scott and Will.

Burial will be after services at the Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville
