Ravenwood, Mo. – Bessie B. Garrard, 78, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 18, 1987, at a hospital in Maryville, Mo.

A native of Grant City, Mo., she was a homemaker.

She married Ernest Garrard on Feb. 15, 1930 in Albany, Mo. He survies of the home. She was preceeded in death by three brothers, Homer Freeman, John Freeman and Lawrence Freeman and three sisters, Esther Davis, Melva Simonson and Mabel Killingsworth.

Mrs. Garrard was a member of the Ravenwood Progressive Club.

Additional survivors are two sons, Richard W Garrard, Kansas City, Mo., and John Marlin Garrard, Willows, Calif.; four sisters, Irma Johnston and Jane Gibler, both of King City, Mo., Dorothy Stickle, Paso Robles, Calif., and Edith Matthis, Eugene, Ore.; two brothers Alfred Freeman, King City and Lyman Freeman, Nebraska City, Neb.; five grand children and a great-grandson.

Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home in Maryville, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 this evening. Burial will be a the Gaynor, Mo. Cemetery.
