Rev. Kenneth Lester McCoy, resident of Longtown, Oklahoma, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 31, 2007. He was born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 3, 1943. When he was 6 years old his family moved to Oklahoma City where he attended school and graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1961. He and his wife, Mary Ellen (Fallwell) Lieber, were married on June 2, 1985, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They moved from Mustang, Oklahoma, to the Lake Eufaula area in January of 1990. He was a retired Plumbing Contractor. Prior employment was at General Electric and Honeywell, Inc.

He was a member of Faith Community Church in Whitefield, Oklahoma, for over 16 years. He served in the church in many capacities over the years, but will also be known as a man who encouraged everyone to keep trusting and serving God and use their God-given talents and abilities to glorify God and to strengthen themselves and others. He graduated from Faith Bible School and was a Licensed Minister of the Independent Assemblies Fellowship. He was President of Lightwave Ministries, Inc. where he served many churches and the community setting up stages, lighting and sound systems for indoor and outdoor events. He never met a stranger and was a wonderful friend to everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed. He was a loving husband and terrific father to five children and 13 grandchildren.

Survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary McCoy, Longtown, OK; son Bryan Lester McCoy, Salem, OR; son and daughter-in-law Craig and Sherri McCoy, Weatherford, OK; daughter and son-in-law Tresha and Mark Coffman, Longtown, OK; stepson and daughter-in-law Stephen and Erica Lieber, Dublin, OH; stepdaughter Karen Smith, Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren: Justin, Andrea, and Derek Swingle; Jeffrey Smith, Thomas Lieber, Adrienne Reinhart, Kylie Plummer, Cameron and Alyssa McCoy (twins), Emily and Jacob Coffman, Alex Idhe, and Braxton Lester McCoy; one sister and brother-in-law, Rena and Bill Mason, St. David, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Katherine (Geminden) McCoy.

Services 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, Faith Community Church, Whitefield, OK. Officiating, Reverends Bill and Mary Fitzer. Interment will follow at Bower Cemetery, Longtown, OK.

Ken is greatly missed by his family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that he is living eternally with the Lord and all of his loved ones that passed before him.
