Services for O.E. "Babe" Londene, 96, Lawrence, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Enterprise United Methodist Church in Enterprise with the Revs. William Vigneau and Todd Britt officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery south of Enterprise with Masonic services at the gravesite.

Mr. Londene died Saturday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 21, 1894, in Smolan. He owned and managed the Londene Grocery Store in Enterprise for 57 years.

Mr. Londene was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church in Enterprise. He joined the Hope Masonic Lodge, Hope, in 1920 and was a charter member of the Enterprise Masonic Lodge since 1922.

He married Mildred Dalton on May 5, 1931, in Junction City. She died Jan. 15, 1975.

Survivors include two sons, John Londene, Topeka; James Londene, Englewood, Colo.; a brother, Fred Londene, Chapman; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
